Application of APROL in our facilities

We have been using the APROL process control system for many years, starting from version 3.2 and up to now – version 4.2.

APROL is such a flexible and scalable system that allows us to use it in a wide range – from local visualization to process control systems and dispatching systems of large power plants, including adjacent facilities (substation, boiler house, office building).

APC910 B&R – very reliable industrial computers, thanks to a well-thought-out architecture, there is not a single wire inside the computer – a potentially weak link.

PERFORMANCE

A powerful Intel Core i7 processor, at least 16 GB of RAM, 2x SSD drives – for the system and historical data, 3x gigabit LAN – provide processing and storage of large amounts of data, high-quality visualization.

SAFETY

Physical separation of operator and technological networks, provision of equipment with guaranteed power supply for at least 4 hours.

FLEXIBILITY

Computing power, hierarchical network structure make it easy to increase the amount of processed data, connect third-party systems, both lower and higher levels, to the process control system.

APROL Process Control System is a system based on standard software mechanisms (databases, APIs, web technologies, bash, python, etc.), intelligently combined into a single environment. It has many pre-installed diagnostic tools, standard industrial exchange protocols, programming interface tools, and programming languages.

RELIABILITY

Linux SLES OS is a fault tolerant application software operating system that can function for many years without freezing and rebooting.

PERFORMANCE

The system can process a huge amount of information. The only limitation is the computing power of the hardware.

SAFETY

Linux family operating systems have long established themselves as the most resistant to malware. Firewall protection of the network interface makes APROL an “impregnable fortress”.

FLEXIBILITY

The modular architecture of the APROL system, which includes task classes, execution modules, as well as the ability to create several runtime systems, plus mechanisms for using the developer’s own programs.

Application of Automation Studio in our facilities

Automation Studio – a universal tool for creating automation projects, allows you to program B&R controllers running a real-time OS; has ample opportunities for setting up and working with various devices – input-output modules, servo drives, visualization, etc., incl. and third party manufacturers includes powerful programming and debugging tools; easily integrated into the APROL system and has many libraries for working with industrial exchange protocols.

RELIABILITY

B&R products are highly reliable. 20 years of experience with B&R has shown us isolated cases of failure, mostly due to operating conditions.

SCALABILITY

The X2X interface allows you to connect and process data in a cycle up to 1 ms for a large number of modules (up to 120 or more).
